The flows are made (an organization or system) more efficient and effective by employing faster or simpler working methods, the process for creating Autolaunched flows with triggers. You now see the options to create a record-, schedule-, or platform event\u2013triggered flow upon clicking New Flow in Setup. We also added trigger information and configuration options to the Start element in the canvas to make triggered flows easier than ever to build.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Where Flow Builder Change Applies<\/span><\/h2>\n

This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Why Flow Builder Is Important<\/span><\/h2>\n

Previously, it wasn\u2019t obvious how to add a trigger to an Autolaunched flow. You had to know to open the Start element and add the trigger there. Also, it was easy to introduce errors by adding trigger-incompatible elements to the flow before adding the trigger. By choosing the trigger before opening Flow Builder, you avoid unsupported elements because they do not appear in the builder as available options.<\/p>\n
